What you will do
As an E-Commerce Demand Planner, you will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and implementing inventory strategies to support sales targets across key marketplaces. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning product availability with consumer demand, leveraging marketplace data, business insights, and cross-functional collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded planner with a strong background in retail and fashion, particularly in digital and marketplace environments.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Define inventory requirements to meet sales targets and optimize stock availability across digital channels.
Develop and maintain detailed demand forecasts (weekly/monthly) at SKU, category, and channel level.
Analyse marketplace performance data to identify demand patterns, growth opportunities, and risks.
Collaborate with commercial teams (buying, merchandising, marketing) to align forecasts with assortment, promotions, and product lifecycle strategies.
Integrate marketplace insights, marketing activity, and pricing strategy into forecasting models.
Monitor key performance indicators such as sell-through rate, stock coverage, turnover, and availability.
Partner with supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
Provide actionable, data-driven insights to improve overall planning effectiveness and marketplace performance.
Collaborate with the BI team to continuously enhance existing reports, ensuring they are accessible and actionable for the broader team to drive informed decision-making.
Optimize inventory statuses across multiple locations, aligning stock allocation with platform performance and customer demand to maximize availability and sales potential.
Track and report on core e-commerce KPIs and business metrics.
What you’ll bring
Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in demand planning, e-commerce, or merchandise planning within retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
Completed a relevant degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
Strong knowledge of e-commerce and online marketplace platforms (e.g., Zalando, About You, Amazon).
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI.
Strong analytical capabilities paired with commercial awareness.
Deep understanding of retail seasonality, fashion trends, and fast-paced marketplace environments.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication.
Experience in international, consulting, or high growth/start-up environments is a strong plus.
