What you will do

  • Plan and forecast merchandise assortments based on sales trends, customer preferences, and market analysis.

  • Conduct market research and translate trend insights into commercially viable product concepts in close collaboration with the product development team

  • Develop and execute online merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and drive sales.

  • Optimize product listings, descriptions, and images to ensure a compelling online shopping experience.

  • Monitor and analyze in-season product performance, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement to drive sell-through and revenue growth

  • Oversee timely and accurate product launches across digital channels, ensuring optimized product visibility and placement based on performance, customer engagement, and strategic goals

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess inventory.

  • Conduct regular reviews of product performance and adjust plans accordingly.

  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business goals.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of working experience in E-Commerce merchandising, ideally in Marketplace environment.

  • Completed a relevant degree in eCommerce, Business, Economics, or a related field; a background combining analytical and commercial focus is preferred.

  • Proficiency in translating insights into actionable strategies and commercial outcomes.

  • Experience working cross-functionally across product, planning, sourcing, and digital teams.

  • A deep passion for E-Commerce and a thorough understanding of eCommerce websites and business models.

  • Experience within the retail and homeware industry

  • Experience working in Shopify or similar platform

  • Experience in working with homeware marketplaces and integrators is a plus, namely Amazon.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized with ability to prioritize topics independently

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver insights that drive solutions and strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams with a flexible, positive attitude and a strong track record of achieving results.

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Capacity to use critical thinking and consider all the information that is provided to resolve issues that may arise.

  • SAP/ previous experience working with PIM´s/Open Office: Excel. Power Point/ Asana.

  • Fluency in other (European) languages besides English, such as French, Spanish, Turkish or German is a plus.

  • Experience within international environments, consultancies, or a start-up environment.
